State Technology Update - August 18, 2008
State Chief Information Officer Teri Takai today launched the California Information Technology Wiki, a new interactive website for state employees to share information and collaborate on technology-related issues. Visit the site at www.cio.ca.gov/wiki.
"The California Information Technology Wiki is a terrific way for staff to contribute to the growing body of knowledge that will help us achieve our technology goals," said Teri Takai, State Chief Information Officer. "As California works to live up to its reputation as a leader in innovation and technology, I encourage all of our IT workforce to take advantage of this valuable tool by sharing their expertise and participating in an important, ongoing dialogue."
On the wiki, users will find information regarding Information Technology, its critical place in state government and the many ways IT will help improve state services for all Californians. More importantly, included is the collective knowledge of everyone who wishes to participate.
Users are invited to sign up for an account, post information, edit existing content and spend time clicking through the pages. Accounts are limited to those with state government or military e-mail addresses.
The "All Pages" link provides an index of all subjects and entries.
The site also includes an RSS feed which allows users to receive updates when content has been posted or edited.
