The California Information Security Office (CISO) plays a critical role in ensuring the State's Information Technology (IT) infrastructure is capable of delivering vital services in a secure, reliable, and trustworthy manner. The CISO is involved in a broad range of activities within the state and collaborates with federal, county, and city security professionals. CISO's responsibilities include security incident management, security policy development, technology recovery planning (TRP), risk management, security training and awareness, public outreach, and coordination with hundreds of Information Security Officers (ISOs), Privacy Coordinators and TRP professionals across the state.
